What are Children’s Outdoor Rights? 

Children’s Outdoor Rights are the unique important outdoor experiences that every child in the community should have access to. Our list of rights was created based on community input (and especially children’s input!) to reflect the most important outdoor experiences for children in Pima County. We believe that every child should have the right to safely play outside and learn about the natural world. Declaring these rights would signify Pima County and City of Tucson's commitment to creating the infrastructure and opportunity for every child to learn, grow, and thrive in the great outdoors. We believe that access to nature isn’t just a luxury - it’s a right.
